Our story

Built in the field, not in a conference room.

ADU Build•Print exists because we needed it ourselves, and nobody was selling it.

A builder in a hard hat in front of an ADU under construction
  1. We bought a franchise

We entered the ADU business the way most people are told to: we bought into a franchise and paid for the playbook, the support and the brand.

  2. The franchise failed

Shortly after, the franchise company went under. We had a business to build and no roadmap for how to build it.

  3. We built our own system

Marketing, lead response, sales scripts, estimating, jurisdiction research, product lines and operations. Built, tested and rebuilt on real jobs.

  4. $18M in contracted sales

On that system, Tiny Homes of Tucson reached $18M in contracted ADU sales in a little over two years.

  5. Build•Print

We packaged the system so other builders can install it in their own companies, under their own names.

Why Build•Print exists

Thousands of contractors could build ADUs. Most need the business, not the construction.

They don't need another construction course. They need the business system around the construction: how to find homeowners, sell them, price the work, get it permitted and deliver it profitably.

We provide the operating system. You build the company.

What we believe

  • A good builder should be able to enter the ADU market without paying large franchise fees.
  • You should keep your revenue, your brand and your market. No royalties. No territory map.
  • Nobody should have to reinvent every process or design every project from scratch.
  • Most lessons in this business have already been learned the hard way. You shouldn’t have to learn them again.

The founder

Brad Jones

Founder of ADU Build•Print and Tiny Homes of Tucson. Host of The ADU Build•Print Podcast.

Brad rebuilt Tiny Homes of Tucson on its own system after the franchise failed, then turned that playbook into Build•Print so other builders can skip the expensive lessons.
